Founded by Chattanoogan Drew Sterchi in 1976, our company was born out of a heartfelt commitment to quality construction.

Now with over four decades of experience, our team has adopted a variety of craftsmanship skills including fine finishes, carpentry, millwork, drafting and design. Equipping our team with knowledge of all facets of the construction trades allows them to completely oversee each phase of your project. We continually provide ongoing industry and trade training and product education programs.

Along with ability to solve the complex challenges with creative solutions and attention to detail, our clients note our group as being professional, polite, attentive, and responsive. We are rewarded daily when collaborating to execute the details of each project according to our client’s individual needs and desires.

Chris Sterchi

CEO

Chris has worked in construction for over 25 years. He began his career as a carpenter, where he developed his passion for quality craftsmanship. He enjoys working with clients as a project manager and design consultant, offering his expertise to clients and colleagues on a daily basis.

Chris is a Licensed General Contractor in Tennessee, Georgia, & North Carolina, and a LEED Accredited Professional, practicing sustainable building whenever possible. He is a member of the Home Builders Association of Tennessee and the Remodelers Council of Home Builders Association of Chattanooga.

When he isn’t at the office or a job site, you can find Chris on the mountain bike trails or traveling with his family.

Mary Sterchi Bailey

CFO

Mary began her tenure at Sterchi Construction in high school before attending college. She worked alongside her dad, Drew, learning bookkeeping and working some in the field.

Eager to gain industry knowledge, she worked with a luxury developer in Atlanta after college and rejoined Sterchi Construction in 2007. She manages the financial and administrative operations of the company.

In addition to over 20 years of experience in financial accounting, Mary has her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Georgia State University and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, live music, and traveling with her husband.

Jeremy Babb

COO

Jeremy has over 25 years of construction experience and has successfully completed over 100 projects in the commercial and residential markets. He has an extensive knowledge of construction and has managed the completion of projects in the medical, educational, financial, industrial, retail, restaurant and residential industries.

Jeremy is a LEED Accredited Professional, proficient in both project scheduling and AutoCAD systems. Through his years of education and field experience, Jeremy has become an accomplished project manager and estimator, completing projects on time and on budget. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Jeremy enjoys spending his weekends outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
